Logo Design

Hooked & Happily Eden After

Client enquires a new logo for their brand Hooked and Happily Eden After. They wanted to have a simple, hand-drawn, elegant yet minimalistic for their logo.

Hooked!

Overview of the business:

"We are Julius & Nicole, a husband and wife team of private chefs. We started out as restaurant chefs and then progressed to private chefs. We have done countless dinners, corporate events, and product demos. After years of cooking private dinners and selling turkeys and hams to our friends and family, we have decided to embark on a new and exciting journey of producing and retailing our own House brand products."
The concept for this logo is hand illustrated. Few herbs were hand-drawn for this logo, such as lavender, rosemary, sage, st.John's, Olive's leaves and shaped it into a wreath. Once done, the finished drawing was edited in Photoshop to enhance the color and after that, it traced in Illustrator.
The reason for choosing a hand drawing logo as part of their identity is because the client is coming from the background that involves with herbs, ingredients, and food. They also providing healthy food for people who are hiring them.
As for the color, the reason I chose a dark gray to represent the brand was because; A. black is a little too harsh for the branding, B. Dark gray is timeless, solid and stable, creating a sense of calm and composure, also sophisticated.

Happily Eden After

Client business overview

Eden is my family’s little garden of paradise that we are constantly building and learning about. I believe that most things we consume can be homemade and that the earth provides most of the healing that we need. It’s important to me that my family eats well, heals naturally and plays like a crazy overly happy one.
I was born in Singapore where i worked as a private chef specialising in Peranakan cuisine for 8 years. My inspiration moved from cuisine to a more natural lifestyle and this shift in inspiration found our family making the move to Australia for a richer, more wholesome life – Where organic products are abundant and farmers markets are the norm. My food philosophy for my family is simple – Eat real food, as close to the source as possible and within budget.

‍Client approached me to make another logo for their blog/online shop by using the same elements of their logo for Hooked! Everything for this logo remains the same except the font used for the name of the brand.
